Norelle Bemelman – Digital Dreams Photography
This month’s featured photographer is Norelle Bemelman of Digital Dreams Photography in Arizona, USA. We interviewed Norelle this past month and are pleased to share the interview with you. Enjoy!
DA: Why did you get into Photography?
Norelle: Curiosity struck me when I began to professionally model at the age of 15. I was amazed at what the photographers could produce, and I wanted to know what it was like to behind the camera for once.
DA: What is your favorite location to shoot?
Norelle: Right now, my favorite place to shoot so far is right inside my studio where I can get creative with different props and poses.
DA: Who inspires you?
Norelle: I find hope and inspiration from the wonderful dancers I work with every day as a dance teacher. Seeing them improve and strive to be better helps me push myself as well.
DA: Do you have a favorite shot (or two)?
Norelle: Right now, my favorite shot is of Riley, in a photo I’ve nicknamed The Itsy Bitsy Spider.
DA: How can someone get in touch with you?
Norelle: Right now I have 2 ways of contact

DA: What is the best place to view your work online?
DA: If you could have the perfect photoshoot…who and where?
Norelle: Right now I would love to travel to a large desert spot out near Las Vegas for a stunning and simplistic dance photoshoot with some paint. As far as who, I have no preference. My job as a photographer is to make sure that anyone I shoot is able to see just how amazing they are.
DA: Any advice to help dancers relax when having a photoshoot?
Norelle: As dancers, most of us are used to competing and trying to win, but during a photo shoot, it is about having a great time and enjoying every moment. So relax, take time to stretch, and remember that the day is all about you!
